What's more, the members are completely unaware of each other credit until they are looking for a mortgage, says Ruth Hayden, a Minneapolis financial consultant who teaches money courses couples.

"Someone with good credit do not even think about how a problem, while someone with a bad credit score are ashamed, they bring," says Hayden. Talk about your history sooner rather than later, advises Hayden. One thing, couples contract for a certain period may find that they do not cobble together financing in time.
